finally the temperatures became more spring like in salzburg, so we decided to take a walk into the city.
it was so nice outside, everybody was just wearing light jackets and the city was crowded with sun-seeking people. now i really can´t wait for my “love” dresses i recently ordered – perfect for spring as you will see in further posts!
so here is what i was wearing today:
and the outcome of our stroll through the city was soooo good for me – i got my michael kors watch, but i didn´t choose the horn one because it looked too plastic in reality – instead, i bought the oversized, gold runway watch – YAAAY and i love love love it!
and next i want to present to you “madison“, a very special place. it is definitely the most beautiful perfume shop i have ever been to. located at the famous “andrássy út” they redesigned an old pharmacy into this impressing store. i also got myself a candle there that smells delicious! if you are ever in budapest, you should make a small detour to madison for sure.
AND A LITTLE EXTRA:
2 trousers i got at west end, a jeans (super super skinny) from pull&bear and silky trousers from mango with a white and black leo print.
this was my last day in budapest and i finally had time to visit the city a little.
during my trip, my mind about budapest changed completely. at first, i thought that it was a glorious city once, but there is not enough money in hungary to keep the buildings renovated and as beautiful as they were – and i was right with this opinion, but i can see the true beauty of budapest now as well.
view over the buda part of the city from the gellert hill
the magnificent buildings get a mysterious touch through their crumbly facades, there are flower shops everywhere around the city and i believe that budapest has to be the greenest place in europe around summertime because you see trees and parks simply everywhere. for every house there are 3 trees, it seems.
i couldn´t really take pictures because i did a hop-on hop-off tour, so i have to preserve the beautiful images in my mind somehow – do you know this feeling when you see something so surreal and overwhelming, it simply takes your breath away? that´s how i felt today! even though i couldn´t take great pictures, enjoy the ones i captured over the past days:
with the sun on my side.
west end shopping center – 3000 brands in over 300 shops
ready for business
isn´t this a great lamp? maybe one of the next diy projects…
today afternoon i got to budapest and managed to take a few snapshots! as far as i can say right now, budapest is a beautiful city but it´s a lot different from what i´m used to in austria – but i still have 2 more days here and i definitely want to check out the biggest shopping centre in europe with 400 shops, west end city center or one of the newer ones in the heart of the city!
this weekend was so nice and relaxing for us. friday i went for some drinks with my friend and yesterday we went shopping (see last post). in the evening, my babe and i stayed in, ordered some amazing sushi (which would have been enough for at least 4 people) and watched some dvd´s. today was more or less the same, so my outfit was only something really simple – without any accessories or anything, but nice enough to go for a coffee at my grandparents house.
first time driving with my rooftop open, yay!!!
really good olive oil at the italian restaurant we had lunch at yesterday
best lunch ever: warm bread salad with prosciutto crudo, rocket, sun-dried pickled tomatoes, olives, avocado and parmesan! it´s a quick lunch to do at home as well – just roast the ciabatta bread, insert the rest of the ingredients and warm up everything a little – and there you go!
sushi party set 🙂
wish you all a nice sunday evening!
p.s. off to budapest tomorrow, be sure to stay updated!
